Market Volatile Due To F & O Expiry
Wednesday, October 29th, 20084:10 PM - The market kept oscillating from the positive to negatve terrains today, mainly due to the F&O expiry. But the volatile session ended positive! Sensex ended the day at 9,044, up 36 points from the previous close. Nifty shut shop at 2697, up 12 points. But BSE Midcap index lost 2% and BSE Smallcap index, 1%. Metal and oil & gas stocks saw good buying coming in, whereas realty, pharma and FMCG stocks witnessed selling pressure. Top Sensex gainers include Hindalco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro and ACC, while losers are Reliance Communications, Ranbaxy, DLF and Satyam Computer, among others.
4:06 PM - The Nifty may go up to 2950-3000, before real selling emerges again, says Rajat Bose, technical analyst, on CNBC-TV18.
3:59 PM - Above Rs 74, Moser Baer can go up to Rs 83-85, says Rajat Bose, technical analyst, on CNBC-TV18. And once it crosses the resistance of Rs 85, one may see triple digits here, he adds. The stock is at Rs 69.65 on the BSE.
